Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Lawn Tennis Association welcomes the unprecedented allocation of $4.6B in the 2024 budget to the sport sector. In recent years the executive of the GTA has established a close working relationship and camaraderie with the National Sports Commission and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.
Our frequent interactions have resulted in needs assessment of the tennis fraternity which resulted in the fulfillment of many commitments to our sport.
These commitments include but are not limited to;
As a result of the above-mentioned positions, our players and coaches can compete within the region and enhance their game strategies, fitness levels, and coaching knowledge to align with the goals and objectives of the GTA.
In light of the foregoing, the GTA looks forward to continued synergies with the National Sports Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, and by extension, the Government of Guyana. Our partnerships thus far have allowed our players, coaches, and officials to grow in their respective areas of expertise and most importantly, alleviated significant financial burdens from the parents of our players.
