Kaieteur Sports – Latest action in the MCYS NSC Janet Jagan “Birth Anniversary” School Girls Windball Cricket played at the National Gymnasium in Georgetown show New Central High recording victory in the competition.
New Central High after a slow start eventually made 93-5, thanks to a solid knock from Aaliyah De Freitas 40 (6x6s). Bowling for Saint Roses High, Sahania Earle took 2-4 and Sacha Persaud 2-27.
Saint Roses High also got off to a slow start but never got their rhythm going and were restricted to 72-1, opener Miel Campbell hit 30 and Ayrihanna Daniels 12 off two deliveries.
Freeburg Secondary, who made their return to the sport, batted first and was under pressure from the first ball end up losing 3 wickets in the first over only scoring 2 runs. They eventually made 26-6, with Clyeshia Arthur 12. Bowling for Dolphin Secondary Samsara Hydralie took 2 -0 and Shellyann De Rouche 2-1.
Dolphin Secondary replied with 28-0 off 1 over with Talisha Taylor making 12.
