Eagles wrap up practice session ahead of Saturday’s departure for CG United Super50 Cup
Kaieteur Sports – The Guyana Harpy Eagles wrapped up preparations for the upcoming Regional CG United Super50 tournament with a fruitful training exercise yesterday at the Bourda Cricket Ground.
The Eagles warmed up with success as a number of their key players the likes of; Chandrapaul Hemraj, Kemol Savory, Romario Shepherd, Vice-Captain Tevin Imlach, Kevlon Anderson, Gudakesh Motie and others highlighting the practice game.
Guyana posted almost 400 runs in the practice match against a formidable GCB Select XI team, which featured a number of national players, with a few also being on the Eagles 50-Over squad.
Thursday’s session which was done under the watchful eyes of coaches Ryan Hercules and Garvin Nedd, focused on further fine-tuning the team ahead of their title pursuit.

Guyana Harpy Eagles could easily end 2023 with the Regional 4-Day title, the 2023 Caribbean Premier League T20 tile won by the Guyana Amazon Warriors which also feature a number of Eagles’ stars and the 50-Over title, which has eluded them for more than a decade.
Both bowlers and batsmen looked good during their practice yesterday, with emphasis being placed on the ensuring all boxes are ticked in both departments.
Responsibility will also be on the shoulders of those players who have been on a high stemming from the CPL win, with their current form and confidence playing a key role in creating a winning atmosphere for their teammates.
The Eagles will wing out tomorrow ahead of the competition which bowls gets underway from October 17 to November 12, in Trinidad and Tobago.
