Kaieteur Sports – National Fast bowler Shamar Joseph is the latest talented cricketer to benefit from gear through the “Cricket Gear for young and promising cricketers in Guyana”. This was made possible through the kind courtesy of the Cricket Equipment Guyana.
According to the owners of the company they are very pleased to be a part of the development of young national fast bowler Shemar Joseph.
Joseph, 23 who made his debut for the national cricket team earlier this year, hails from Baracara way up the Canje River, in Berbice. He plays for Tucber Park Cricket Club in Berbice.
At a simple ceremony held recently, a cricket gear bag with a full kit including bat, pads, ball gloves etc was handed over by Ajay Gainda, owner and Managing Director of the Company.
Young Gainda said that his company is pleased to help the talented cricketer.
Joseph rise to fame resulted from his hard work and commitment. Joseph who once worked as a security guard gave notice of his cricketing ability with an unbeaten 67 and taking eight wickets at inter county and trial matches earlier this year. (Samuel Whyte)
