Kaieteur News – Leg spinner Amir Khan grabbed 5-25 while Matthew Nandu and Richie Looknauth struck half centuries as Everest CC grabbed first innings points from University of Guyana when the Georgetown Cricket Association Noble House Sea Foods second division two-day competition resumed yesterday.
UG were bowled out for 72 after they were inserted at the Everest CC. Laurel Parks made 22, while Keon Morris made 16 not out and Damion Vantull 10. Javed Rasheed supported Khan with 2-11.
The home team closed on 172-4 to lead by 100. Looknauth made 58 while Nandu is unbeaten on 57 and Khan not out on six.
Mark Cummerbatch took 2-35.
