An unbeaten 46 from Andrew Gibson and incisive spells from Raydon Austin and Ershaad Ali guided Mahdia to a 10-wicket win over host St.
Cuthbert’s Mission when the teams collided in a 15-over Tapeball match recently.
St. Cuthbert’s Mission managed 73-8 following their insertion with skipper David Francis scoring 36 and Romio Simon 14; Austin claimed 4-9 and Ali 3-8.
Mahdia responded with 74 without loss as Gibson received valuable support from Rajkumar Singh who made 18 not out.
Mahdia went down to Banks DIH in a 20-over fixture played at Thirst Park on Friday night. Mahdia took first knock and posted 165 all out in 17.3 overs. Omesh Danram struck an even half century while Gibson made 45. Deonarine Seegobin captured 3-19; Eshack Asif had 3-45 and Ricky Sergeant 2-15.
Banks DIH responded with 166-8 in 17.1 overs. Beepaul Bandoo scored 77 not out and Seegobin 16. Ricardo Poloram grabbed 4-55.
