Matarkai Sports Committee in collaboration with New Image Barber shop and Platinum General Store will host its 3rd annual five-a-side Floodlights football starting on December 26.
Matches will continue on December 27 with the grand finals slated for January 01st, 2019 at the Oronoque Tarmac, Port Kaituma.
According to Mr. Sherlon Rodrigues PRO and chairman of MSC, the annual competition will see male teams from Matarkai, Mabaruma and Moruca vying for lots of cash, trophies, medals and individual prizes. All games are scheduled to start at 18:00hours. The defending champions Oronoque young gunners are eager to defend their title, while the chairman revealed that all youths are eagerly looking forward to this annual event which is aimed towards engaging youths in a positive way especially during the festive season.
Registration forms are now available and can be uplifted from Mr. Kimtse Castello Barber shop, Mr. Glenroy Hercules New Image Barber shop and Mr. Ronaldo Rodrigues Platinum General store.
MSC would like to thank the NDC Matarkai and The Port Kaituma Police Station for approval. MSC is calling on potential sponsors to make contact with Mr. Sherlon Rodrigues, Mr. Glenroy Hercules or Mr. Ronaldo Rodrigues on telephone numbers 668-3657, 682-9813 and 699-8389 in that order to book spots for the event.
