District Six ride away with National School Cycling Championship
Jonathan Ramsuchit, who represented Guyana at the Caribbean Junior Road Cycling
championships earlier in the month, won Gold in the Boys’ under-16, 2000m and 3000m, while he had to settle for silver in the 1500m which was good enough to help District 6 (Corentyne) win the Cycling Championships. District 6 that finished on 229 points, piped the defending overall champions District 10 (Upper Demerara/Kwakwani) that finished on 222 by a meager seven points.
District four (East Coast) finished with 122 points, while district three (West Demerara/Essequibo Islands) was the other district to finish above 100 points.
