Guyana aiming to restore pride against USVI today
Guyana’s Junior Jaguars will be aiming to restore some pride today when they oppose host nation United States Virgin Islands in the feature game at 17:00hrs when play in the first round of the 2016 Caribbean Football Union’s Under 17 World Cup Qualifying, Group 4, continues at the Lionel Roberts Stadium, USVI.
Despite going into break with the scores tied 1-1 with the Guyanese scoring through Canadian born Roberto Case, Guyana fell to the lads from Reggae land 4-1.
The other match on the day, Friday last, saw the home team, USVI going down to Antigua and Barbuda 1-5.
The Guyanese will fancy their chances of upstaging the home team as they seek full points; Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda will play today’s opening encounter from 14:30hrs.
