Dem A Watch Me, She’s Royal to battle in L& Lower Class

Organising Committee member Compton Sancho who spoke to Kaieteur Sport recently confirmed that apart from Dem A Watch Me, some of the other horses set to participate in the L& Lower Class include She’s Royal trained by M. Sancho and owned by Ajai, while Progressive Kid and Replace the Heat who’re owned and trained by L. Gray have also been earmarked to compete in the same category.
The feature event the ‘A’ and Lower Class which will be run over 1900 metres carries total prize monies in the vicinity of $3million with the winner set to receive $1,750,000; runner-up $750,000, 3rd place $375,000 and 4th place $187,000.
The co-feature, the D3& Lower for horses that have earned over $100,000 within the last six months, will also include horses classified E&F Lower over a distance of 1400 metres with the winner guaranteed $750,000, 2nd place $375,000, 3rd place $182,000 and 4th place $90,000.
The G & Lower for West Indian bred horses will be run over 1200 metres with the winner to collect $350,000, 2nd place $175,000, 3rd place $85,000 and 4th place $42,000.
The H2 & Lower is the next race up over 1000 metres with a first prize of $300,000, 2nd place $150,000, 3rd place $75,000 and 4th place $37,000.
The Guyana and West Indian bred three year-olds that have not won a total of $100,000 will battle over 1000 metres for a top prize of $250,000, runner-up $125,000, 3rd place $62,000 and 4th place $31,000.
The J3 & Lower over 1200 metres will see the victor cart off $ 200,000, 2nd place $100,000, 3rd place $50,000 and 4th place $25,000.
The J3 and K Class will be battled over 1200 metres with the winner to receive $175,000, 2nd place $87,000, 3rd place $43,000 and 4th place $19,000.
The final race will be contested in the L Class over 1000 metres with the winner to collect $150,000, 2nd place $75,000, 3rd place $37,000 and 4th place $18,000.
Meanwhile, Sancho assured that horses from some of the biggest stables in the country including the Elcock Stables, Jumbo Jet, Shariff Stables, Kris Jagdeo, Samsundar Stables, Karibee Rice Stables, Shockings Stables, Lenny Singh Stables and Bacchus Stables have signaled their interest in being part of the Meet.
