Shemaine Campbelle, a member of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, MS and the winning West Indies 20/20 female World Cup team, has been officially inducted as a brand ambassador and promotional spokesperson

for the Beharry Group of Companies. Campbelle signed a two years contract with the company and would join West Indies Cricket legend Shivnarine Chanderpaul as the official face of the company’s products.
Campbelle joined the RHTYSC at the tender age of 14 and has worked her way throughout the ranks, representing the Club at the Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, Under-23, Second Division, Female and First Division. Campbelle, who is currently the captain of the Rose Hall Town Metro Female team, first represented the West Indies in 2009 at the tender age of 17. Over the years she has captained Berbice and Guyana female team and has scored centuries for RHTYSC, MS, Berbice, Guyana and in 2014 became the second West Indian and only Guyanese to score an international Century – 105 not out VS Sri Lanka.
She is also one of the few female cricketers to have bat, bowl medium, fast and spin and keep wicket at the international level. In 2010, she was named as the Junior Runner up Sportswoman of the Year and in 2014 won the Senior Sportswoman of the Year Award. In 2009, she led the RHT Metro Female to national Championship in the only ever female tournament organised by the Guyana Cricket Board and has won the RHTYSC, MS Female Cricketer of the Year Award a total of eight times.
Secretary/CEO of the RHTYSC, MS, Hilbert Foster, who represented Campbelle during discussions with the company, offered congratulations to the World Cup Champion on becoming Beharry’s Brand Ambassador and expressed confidence that Campbelle would fulfill her duties to the best of abilities. Campbelle, Foster stated is a positive role model to her peers and is a dedicated and hardworking individual.
Campbelle extended gratitude to the Beharry Company for giving her the privilege of being their brand ambassador. Marketing Manager of Beharry, Satesh Singh expressed delight at having Campbelle on board and noted that his company believes in the promotion of the female gender in sports. Campbelle, he stated is an outstanding representative of her gender and expressed full confidence that she would continue to be an outstanding representative of the company, Guyana and the West Indies.
