2015 Raffik and Sons Construction Second Division 20-Over Cricket Competition Balchand Baldeo takes 6 for 13 for Albion
– half centuries for Narian, Subadar and Persaud
As the 2015 Raffik and Sons Construction Second Division 20-Over Cricket Competition, specially organized by the Berbice Cricket Board for teams in the Lower Central Corentyne area, continued recently. Guyana Under-19 player Balchand Baldeo took 6 for 13 from 4 overs to bowl his team, Albion Community Centre, to a narrow 6-run win over Tamarind Root. His performance is the best by a bowler so far in the competition.
Led by 52 (5 fours) from Bedeshwar Narian and 46 (2 fours and 2 sixes) from Majid Mohamed, Toopoo Rising Star made 157 for 6 in 20 overs against Belvedere Battle Steel, who in their reply could only muster 103 for 9 in their 20 overs despite a fine knock of 51 (3 fours and 3 sixes) from opening batsman Michael Subadar.
After Ravindra Persaud scored 50 (4 fours and 4 sixes) and Joseph Kamaludin 44 (6 fours) to steer Fyrish Strikers to 181 against Belvedere United, off-spinner Ghanesh Bharrat took 5 for 7 from 2.1 overs to see Belvedere bowled out for 87 in 18.1 overs in their response.

2. At Albion Primary School Ground, Toopoo Rising Star beat Belvedere Battle Steel by 54. Toopoo Rising Star 157 for 6 in 20 overs with Bedeshwar Narian 52, Majid Mohamed 46 and Michael Subadar 2 for 20. Belvedere Battle Steel 103 for 9 in 20 overs with Michael Subadar 51, Altaf Approo 3 for 15.
3. At Kilcoy Long Dam, Fyrish Strikers beat Belvedere United by 93 runs. Fyrish Strikers 181 for 9 in 20 overs with Ravindra Persaud 50, Joseph Kamaludin 44, Nazeem Samed 3 for 32, Ramnarine Permaul 2 for 32. Belvedere United 88 in 18.2 overs with Ghanesh Bharrat 5 for 7.
