Second in Charge of Police ‘A’ Division, Superintendent, Dion Moore the prizes to the children that participated in a football match in the Central Georgetown Police Youth Group Appreciation Day of Sports at Leopold Street.
edged Upper Leopold Street 1-0 in the football match Saturday night when Guyana’s Police Force and members of the Central Georgetown Police Youth Group hosted its Appreciation Day of Sports between Leopold and Breda Streets.
Under the theme: ‘We love the Community’, Facilitator of the Central Georgetown Police Youth Group, Colin Haynes with supervision from Deputy Superintendent of Guyana Police Force, Anthony Vanderhyden coordinated the event that was held under the auspices of Commander of ‘A’ Division, Clifton Hicken.
The Day of Sports was held to “further strengthen the bond being created between the Guyana Police Force, and members of the community, especially in the Central Georgetown area”. There were prizes for the winning teams, compliments of Assistant Commissioner, Hicken.
Banks DIH Limited and Nigel’s Supermarket were among the sponsors.
