but assist in any way possible all across Guyana.
Recently the body through one of its local partners the St Francis Community Developers (SFCD) donated a number of items to the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) which will assist it to more effectively do its work and spread the game.
The BVA has been very active since its resuscitation and has been one of the most active Associations in Guyana, barring the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB).
The association received a folding table, six folding chairs, six volleyballs and stationery, including writing pads, pens, envelopes and paperclips among other items.
In handing over the items President of the SFCD, Alex Foster, stated that the presentation is all part of the work of FFP which has no barrier. He stated that they are willing to assist especially progressive and hard working groups and individuals.
Receiving the items on behalf of the BVA was its President Gregory Rambarran. Rambarran thanked FFP for responding so timely to their request and stated that they will make sure that the items are used for its intended purpose.
He was also high in commendation for CEO Mr. Leon Davis and Mr. Foster for the splendid work they are doing and urged them to continue.
According to Rambarran the items received will be used by officials of the association to help in the officiating of matches.
The BVA was also the beneficiary of similar benevolence from FFP through the SFCD including Boots, T Shirts, Volleyballs and briefs. (Samuel Whyte)
