Government Member of Parliament Steve Ninvalle generously responded to a request from Agricola community and youth activist Welton Clarke, who had made a request for tickets for some youths in the area to attend today’s President’s Cup football between Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago at the National Stadium.
Clarke, well known for his work in trying to guide youngsters in the area along the right path, has been instrumental in the past when the Ministry of Sport held various programmes in the area and brokered the donation of sports gear on several occasions.
Ninvalle, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary in the Sports Ministry, decided to respond immediately to the request and will furnish tickets which will see around 20 youngsters getting the opportunity to witness the game.
Ninvalle said he was happy to assist, noting that all have to do their best to help youths in every community in Guyana. He also noted and lauded the efforts of Clarke in the Agricola community among the youngsters.
Clarke said he was mindful of any help for the youngsters in the area and the persons who would do so, pointing to the lack of available cash there. He thanked Ninvalle for his personal donation and is looking forward for similar assistance where the youngsters benefit from any person willing to help.
Ninvalle informed that refreshments will be provided for the Agricola group compliments of his friend Kerwyn Chase, who pledged to provide refreshments.
