Malteenoes Mash Sports Festival set for this weekend

A weekend of fun and frolic is anticipated when the Ansa Mc al / Malteenoes Mashramni Sports festival is held tomorrow and Sunday at Malteenoes ground from 10:00hrs each day.
The two-day event is a part of the Thomas Lands Club’s fund raising drive with a ‘cook-out’ also planned as part of the weekend entertainment package.
Tape Ball Cricket, Five and Seven-a-side Football, Dominos and Whist competitions will form a part of the activities and targets the entire family. Well stocked food and drinks bars will provide mouth-watering menus and beverages.
Music will be provided by a popular sound system and charming models from Michelle Player’s Modelling Agency will add to the entertainment for the fans on Sunday. The preliminaries of the competitions will be contested tomorrow while the cricket and Football Finals are scheduled to be played under floodlights the following day. Interested teams are invited to contact the club before the start of the competitions to register.
Several companies including Ansa Mc al, Demerara Distillers Limited, Noble House Seafoods, Guyana Power and Light and Bounty Farm are on board as sponsors.
