2026 CWI Women’s U-19 T20 Cricket Championships… Losing streak continues as Guyana suffer 15-run defeat
Kaieteur Sports – Guyana’s losing streak continued yesterday as Windward Islands pulled off a 15-run win during their encounter at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, as Women’s U19 action continued across Antigua.
Windwards had a good batting time despite only posting 93-3 from their 20 overs, as openers Jaeda Tyrell (15) and Daisy Woods (13), alongside Keala George (24) with help from Mikayla Adams (16*); played what turned out to be winning hands.
Windwards kept Guyana’s losing streak alive.
Guyana skipper Danielle Manns (1-12), Sowanna Booker (1-13) and Kiana Leitch (1-12) had a mixed outing before their team was kept to 78-8 at the end of their overs.
Sarah Bheir (24) and Manns (15*) toiled during the chase, as their teammates perished at the hands of Windwards’ Ammie Antoine (3-20), Gaida Small (3-13) and Tyrell (2-12).
Over at Liberta Sports Club, Barbados beat Jamaica by 6 runs while Trinidad and Tobago stormed to an 8 wicket win over the Leeward Islands, as part of yesterday’s round of games played.
