When contacted event organizer Nasrudeen Mohamed indicated, “We have decided to take motor-sport and by extension karting to the people. Motor-sport was known at South Dakota and the GMRSC Go-Kart Track Thomas Lands. Now we have proven that a track can be designed and built at any Large Car Park across Guyana. Our planning team has since surveyed three venues that will be ideal for the upcoming races. The first being Leonora Stadium Tarmac on Sunday 21st June, 2026. Over 8,000 tires will be transported and placed in the shape of a specially designed track. Racers will be allowed ample time to for safety testing and practice prior to the event. Covered seating will be constructed around the track to ensure spectators get the best view possible. So region 3 Karting is coming to you on Sunday 21st June, 2026.”
Designed to attract some of the region’s top karting talent, the championship will feature a wide range of classes catering to drivers of all ages and experience levels.
