Inaugural Champion of Champions Female Softball Cup Set for July 5

Kaieteur Sports – Female softball players from across Guyana will have an exciting opportunity to showcase their talent when teams compete in the inaugural Champion of Champions Female Softball Cup, scheduled for July 5, 2026, in Region Three.

This landmark event is being organized with the objective of promoting and advancing female participation in softball cricket across Guyana while providing a professional and competitive platform for female athletes to display their skills and abilities.

The tournament is also expected to attract significant public interest, bringing together players, supporters, sponsors, and members of the sporting fraternity in a positive, family-oriented atmosphere.

Organized and coordinated by RS Sports, the competition will offer attractive prizes. The winning team will receive $300,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up will take home $100,000 and a trophy. Individual awards will include Most Valuable Player (MVP) – $50,000 and trophy, and Player of the Final – $20,000 and trophy.

Additional prizes will be awarded for: Best Bowler in an innings, Best Batter in an innings, Most Sixes in an innings, Most Fours in an innings and Player of the Match in each game.

The entrance fee per team is $20,000.

According to the organizers, plans are also being finalized to have the semi-finals and final played under lights, while cricket balls will be provided for participating teams.
