Kaieteur Sports – Mackenzie High School and Linden Foundation Secondary will contest the Region 10 section of the National Sports Commission Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport 11 edition of the Janet & Cheddi Jagan Windball Cricket champion trophy organised by Sport Office A. Munroe, coordinated by AL Sport & Tour Promotions officials Julius David & Clavon Monchoir & NSC’s Jermaine Green and played at the Botofago Ground in Canvas City.
In the Cheddi Jagan boys tournament:-
New Silver City Secondary batted first on their home ground and made 36-2 in a match which had to be reduced to 4 overs, Anaya Samuels made 14. Mackenzie High School replied with 39.
Wisburg Secondary won the toss and choose to bat, made 31-1, with Ezekel Jackman 16.
Linden Foundation Secondary responded with 32 – 0, with Joseph Hall hitting 31.
Mackenzie High School batted first and scored 41, Linden Hanes hitting 25. Christiansburg Multilateral School in reply were restricted to 36 -1, Jamal Nedd made 18.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie High School will play Linden Foundation Secondary in the final for a place in the national championship.
