One Guyana Independence Softball Cup & Family Funday set for Rose Hall Canje
Kaieteur Sports – The 2nd One Guyana Independence Softball Cup and Family Funday is set for Sunday 24th May from 9 am at the Rose Hall Canje Welfare Ground in Berbice.
According to the organisers, plans are being put in place to have a day full of excitement in open softball cricket as both male and female will be competing for the championship.

Several teams from various parts of Guyana have already indicated their interest in participating in the limited overs open competition.
Teams will be vying for Cash incentives and trophies as awards will be going to the top teams and outstanding individual performers including MVPs, Player of the Finals, Best Bowlers and Best Batters in an innings.
Additionally, organisers noted that trophies will also be presented to each Player of the Match throughout the competition.
The organizers said some of the the activities planned for the day is tug-a-war, 100m sprint, cycle race, buns eating competition, match de bottles, dancing competition and several other fun-filled games where patrons will have opportunities to win prizes.
There will be barbecue on sale along with a well-stocked beverage bar, while entertainment will be provided by Earth Rock Sounds. Admission to the venue is absolutely free.
Pledging their support towards the event so far are Optical Works, VN Constracting Svs, Danzie’s Fashion and Auto Sales, Chattergoon 592 Sports Store, KT Fabrication and Construction, Ashiek and Sons Motor Spares, Z’S Enterprise, Six S General Construction, A. Adam’s Enterprise, J&G Supermarket and trophy stall.
