Kaieteur Sports – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport (MCYS)/Independence Sports Festival will spike off the opening phases of the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) 4-day tourney as part of the multi-category tournament at the National Gymnasium.
Among the 10 sports disciplines, Badminton will feature in Guyana’s upcoming 60th Independence Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The 4-day tourney spikes off today with the Open Singles, Under-23 Singles, Doubles, and Mixed-Doubles categories.
Among the upcoming beats to feature alongside Badminton will be Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Dominoes, Hockey, Lawn Tennis, Squash, Softball Cricket, Table Tennis and Volleyball.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday May 17.
