Defending champions Covent Garden Secondary adds yet another Jagan Windball title to collection
Kaieteur Sports – National Sports Commission Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport 11th edition Janet & Cheddi Jagan Windball Cricket champion trophy Region 4, East Bank Demerara zone organised by Sport Officer A. Munroe, played at the Gymnasium saw Covent Garden adding another title to their collection.
The Cheddi Jagan boys section saw, defending champions Covent Garden Secondary add yet another title to their basket, when they defeated Yarrowkabra Secondary in the zone finals.

Yarrowkabra Secondary won the toss and invited Covent Garden Secondary to bat, they put up a target of 121-1, Vinesh Calcoo 63 (6s x 5) and Orwin Jordan 29 as Orlando Hendricks took 1-15.
Yarrwokabra Secondary in their chase were restricted to 106-4, Twain Arggle was not out on 50 (6s x7) after needing 28 off the final over only to manage ten runs, thanks to Covent Garden skipper Orwin Jordan, Nazeem Khan 3-16, Vinesh Calcoo 1-12.
Camille’s Academy send in to bat scored 108-2, Akash Khiemraj 57 (6s x 7) Adrian Peteus 25.
Yarrowkabra Secondary 110-3, Ajuy Gorrdai 53 (6s x 8), Twain Arggle 30 both left not out.
Covent Garden Secondary along with the Coach & Manager.
Covent Garden Secondary will play either Hope, La Bonne Intention, or Annandale Secondary in the Region 4 finals.
In the Janet Jagan girls department, Camille’s Academy were invited to bat made 87-0, Samera Mohamed 41, Arianna Brown 22.
Defending national champions Yarrwokabra Secondary reach 89-2 off 4.2 overs, Vianney Jaudoo made 58. Samera Mohamed took 1-1.
In the Final, Covent Garden Secondary invited to bat made 72-2, Toleea Yaree 34, Susan Petterson took 1-0 and Vianney Jandoo 1-12.
Yarrwokabra Secondary replied with 74-1, off 4 overs, Makayla Mendonza 27, Vianney Jandoo 24, both left not out.
Yarrowkabra Secondary will now meet Hope Secondary in the Region 4 final for a place in the national eight.
