Kaieteur News – The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will soon be rehabilitating its Medical Centre at Base Camp Stephenson, Timehri. The Force was allocated $41.8 billion in this year’s national budget and will use part of it for the rehabilitation project.
The project, which was opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPATB) office, has attracted 22 contractors. Meanwhile, the GDF is also looking to construct an outdoor GYM -1 Infantry Battalion at Base Camp Stephenson, and a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCOs) accommodation at Base Camp Seweyo.
