Kaieteur Sports – The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) president and executive members recently sent its best wishes to the entire fraternity, following the arrival of 2026.
Following a statement which was posted to their facebook page, the BCB stated “As the new year takes shape, the President and executives of the Berbice Cricket Board would like to wish each and everyone of you, a very peaceful and productive 2026”.
“We at the board would like to commit ourselves to working beyond the call of duty towards the development of Berbice cricket and to maintain the rich legacy of Rohan Kanhai, Basil Butcher, Joe Solomon, Alvin Kallicharan and Roy Fredricks”.
The message highlighted a few pluses for the continued growth of the sport across the ancient county, with Cricket set to be played at all levels with special interest being placed on inter-zone formats.
Also, special emphasis on the overall cricket development and personal development of talented players in Berbice, was one of the high-points mentioned.
