Kaieteur Sports – Racing fans will be treated to a full afternoon of racing when the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) hosts Round Two of the 2026 Endurance Championship – dubbed the Dakota 100 – at the South Dakota Circuit.
The action begins at noon and features three racing segments.
The day’s action will open with an exciting 20-minute Toyota Vitz race, followed by a 15-lap motorcycle feature before drivers take on the headline event; a demanding 100-lap Endurance Race that will see competitors battle for valuable championship points.
Adding to the excitement, Round One’s class winners will all be looking to defend their early championship leads, with every point becoming increasingly important as the title race begins to take shape.
Chris Lall enters the second round as the overall championship leader after producing a dominant performance in Round One. Lall completed 100 laps to claim overall honors and victory in the Enduro 1501cc-1600cc category, establishing himself as the early favorite.
The father-and-son pairing of Mohamed Saifudeen Roshandin and Mohamed Shahabudin Roshandin will be determined to erase the one-lap deficit that denied them victory in the opening round after an impressive 99-lap performance.
Mark Williams will be looking to strengthen his hold on the Enduro 1601cc-2000cc standings after claiming class honors with a third-place overall finish. He is expected to face renewed challenges from Randy Moharally and Randel Singh, as well as from Richard and Reeyaz Hamid.
The Enduro 0-1500cc division promises another close battle after Zachary Persaud and Ryan Rahaman emerged victorious with 97 laps in Round One. Paul Jiwanram finished just two laps behind, while Nyron Maraj and Christopher Samaroo completed the podium, ensuring the class remains one of the most competitive in the championship.
The Unlimited category also delivered a thrilling contest in the opening round.
Kamal Seebarran and Shayne Seebarran claimed maximum points after edging Ravin Ramoutar and Ryan Ramoutar on finishing position despite both crews completing 94 laps. Retesh Singh and Kenneth rounded out the podium with 92 laps.
Several competitors suffered mechanical setbacks during the opening event and are expected to return with improved machinery, adding another layer of intrigue to the championship battle.
With only one round completed, teams know that a strong performance this weekend could significantly strengthen—or revive—their title aspirations. Round Two promises another afternoon of close wheel-to-wheel racing across all three categories.
The Toyota Vitz competitors are expected to produce their trademark bumper-to-bumper action over 20 minutes, the motorcycle racers will contest a flat-out 15-lap sprint, and the endurance specialists will once again tackle the grueling 100-lap feature in a true test of speed, strategy and reliability.
With championship leaders defending their advantage and challengers eager to close the gap, spectators can expect one of the most competitive race meetings of the season when the green flag drops at 12 noon.
