Kaieteur Sports – The Sea Otters Swim Club will be representing Guyana at the ASATT Invitational Age Group Swimming Championship 2025, hosted by the Marlins Swim Club in Trinidad from December 11–14, 2025. This annual meet is sanctioned by World Aquatics, the global governing body for swimming and aquatic sports, and is widely used by athletes seeking qualifying times for the Olympics, World Championships, and other major international events.
Sea Otters will field a strong team across multiple age groups and events, including 50m, 100m and 200m races in all strokes, as well as the 200m Individual Medley.
The swimmers representing the club are:
The team will be led by Coach Shyka Gonsalves and Team Manager Collen Roberts. They depart Guyana on December 9 and return on December 16. The swimmers are prepared and are expected to secure medals and achieve new personal-best times.
Other Guyanese clubs participating include Dolphin Speed Swim Club, Dorado Speed Swim Club, Orca, Torpedo and Trident Swim Club, giving Guyana a strong presence at this important Caribbean championship.
The club has set it last team practice session for today at the Colgrain Pool from 8:00am.
