Kaieteur Sports – All is set for the final and third-place playoff of the Berbice River Cricket Association (BRCA) T20 Competition, today at the Sand Hills Cricket Ground up the Berbice River.
All preparations have been made with the venue expected to be filled as all four teams involved in the competition will be in action.
The final will see Wiruni Conquerors taking on Friendship Cavaliers while the third-place game will be between Kimbia and Geatroy (Fort Nassau).
In the latest round of matches, Sand Hills whipped Geatroy by nine wickets. In the next encounter, Wiruni Conquerors made light work of Kimbia, winning by five wickets.
The competition is being organised by the BRCA with support from the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB).
Executives from the BCB, led by the President, Dr Cecil Beharry, are expected to make the trip up the Berbice River to witness the matches and hold interactions with members of the BRCA on various topics pertaining to cricket.
Recently, a team from the BRCA travelled to the coast to participate in the ongoing Ivan Madray cricket competition. (Samuel Whyte)
