Woman on the run after miner killed at Bamboo Landing
(Kaieteur News) – A Spanish-speaking woman is reportedly on the run after stabbing a miner to the throat on Thursday at Bamboo Landing, Barama River, Region One.
The slain man has been identified by his Alias “Alligator” and reportedly hails from Port Kaituma, Region One.
Reports are that the killing took place during the evening hours at a shop in the area.

The victim reportedly shared a relationship with the woman and the two have a history interpersonal violence especially during drinking sessions.
On Thursday, the woman was at a shop when the victim entered to purchase drinks.
The woman, according to reports, confronted the man and attempted to remove money from his pockets. He retaliated by pushing her down.
According to eyewitnesses, she got up and broke a bottle before stabbing the man to the neck.
She then escaped while persons close by tried to assist the victim but he eventually bled to death before receiving medical attention.
Investigations are ongoing.
