Kaieteur Sports – The two semifinals of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) two days first division cricket competition will be played on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of November. The winners will clash in the final at a date to be decided.
The matches will see Group ‘A’ winners, Young Warriors CC, playing Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) at the Young Warriors Ground or an alternative venue.
The other game will involve Group B winner, Albion Community Centre, against Group ‘A’ runner-up Tucber Park CC at the Albion Community Centre Ground or an alternative venue.
A total of ten teams which were divide into two groups started the competition. The teams in the two groups played each other in a round robin format in their respective groups with the top two teams in each group emerging to play in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, the Lalsa Second Division 40 overs cricket competition is continuing with a number of matches across Berbice.
While training sessions are continuing for female cricketers at the Port Mourant Cricket Ground from 15:00 hrs. Females who are also interested in playing the game are encouraged to attend. (Samuel Whyte)
