Kaieteur Sports – Guyana is set to make history as host of the region’s first-ever professional boxing showpiece, landing squarely on Boxing Day (December 26, 2025). The explosive event, officially announced earlier this week by the newly-formed Caribbean Boxing Organisation (CBO), promises to shake up the regional fight scene like never before.
With Georgetown as the battleground and Bris-O Promotions alongside the dynamic Seon Bristol leading the charge, the event is already being billed as a can’t-miss night of toe-to-toe action.
The CBO, a groundbreaking coalition of top boxing promoters from across the Caribbean is determined to elevate professional combat sports in the region. Members hail from Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, St Maarten, The Bahamas, Jamaica, St Lucia, Grenada, and Curaçao, all bringing elite fighters and a wealth of experience into the ring. The goal is simple: to create a bigger stages, more competitive fights and brighter futures.
The Boxing Day Fight Night will feature; hard-hitting professional matchups, including high-stakes rivalries and championship-caliber showdowns, also up to two-four electrifying amateur bouts — showcasing the region’s rising stars and Top-tier Caribbean talent stepping under the bright lights for regional bragging rights.
From bell to bell, fans can expect non-stop action, unforgettable moments, and the birth of a new annual tradition celebrating Caribbean boxing excellence.
“This event is expected to attract boxing fans from across the Caribbean and beyond,” a CBO spokesperson shared. “We’re uniting the Region through sport, shining a spotlight on our elite athletes. With the combined efforts of CBO member promoters, this Boxing Day card is poised to deliver the type of action that cements legacies and sparks future stars.”
