(Kaieteur News) – A two-storey house collapsed along Cemetery Road at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
This publication understands from neighbours that an elderly woman lives at the house, but was not at home when the incident occurred.
Another occupant was reportedly sitting outside at the time when the structure collapsed.
No vehicles were on the road when the building came down. However, nearby utility lines were damaged, prompting the Guyana Power and Light (GPL) to respond.
