Kaieteur News – The anticipation is building as Miss Universe Guyana has officially unveiled the nine exceptional women who will compete for the coveted crown in 2025. In a stunning Facebook reveal, the pageant organization introduced what they’ve dubbed the “Notable Nine”, a diverse group of contestants who embody the beauty, intelligence, and grace that Guyana has come to represent on the international stage.
The contestants vying for the title are Chandini Baljor, Nichola Munroe, Khadesia Walker, Keefia Younge, Malika Allicock, Jemima Wilson, Nikita Seepaul, Mallissa Dennis, and Makeda Braithwaite.
Each brings her own unique story, talents, and vision to the competition, representing the rich tapestry of Guyanese womanhood.
This marks a significant milestone as the third cohort under the current directorship, following Guyana’s triumphant return to the Miss Universe stage after a previous ban was lifted. The pageant organization has worked tirelessly to rebuild and strengthen Guyana’s presence in international beauty competitions, and the results speak for themselves.
The legacy of excellence continues with the outstanding performances of previous titleholders. Lisa Narine, the first queen under the new directorship, set a high standard with her international representation, while current reigning queen Ariana Blaze has continued to elevate Guyana’s profile on the global stage. Both women have demonstrated the caliber of representation that the country has come to expect from its Miss Universe contestants.
The selection process began approximately a month ago when the pageant organization opened applications, seeking women who could embody the values and aspirations of modern Guyana. The response was overwhelming, testament to the renewed excitement and prestige surrounding the Miss Universe Guyana platform.
The competition will culminate on August 24th at the prestigious Guyana Marriott, where one of the Notable Nine will be crowned Miss Universe Guyana 2025. The winner will have the honour of representing the nation at the Miss Universe pageant, continuing Guyana’s proud tradition of showcasing its finest to the world.
As the countdown begins to coronation night, all eyes will be on these remarkable women as they prepare to demonstrate not just their beauty, but their intelligence, advocacy, and commitment to making a positive impact.
