Cop used teddy bear, rope and gun in murder of Cuban woman
Kaieteur News- Police say that the prime suspect in the murder of Cuban woman, Dailen Paneque Gómez, 26, has detailed a disturbing account of the killing and disposal of her remains in Enmore Backdam, East Coast Demerara (ECD.

The suspect identified as Police Constable Randy Thomas told detectives that he used a rope, gun and a teddy bear in the heinous crime.
Gomez disappeared on June 18 while on her way to work at the Mon Repos Health Centre.
In his chilling confession Thomas reportedly contacted Gomez and arranged to meet her at Enmore. He then drove to Enmore Backdam where they engaged in a discussion.
He claimed that it escalated into an argument and Gomez allegedly assaulted him. The cop reportedly added that he then placed a teddy bear against her head and shot her with an unlicensed firearm he had in his possession.
Using a rope, he had allegedly bought that same day from a Chinese Supermarket at Mahaica, ECD, Thomas reportedly tied up her remains and dragged the body into some nearby bushes.
To further cover his tracks, Thomas said that he disposed of teddy bear along the roadway leading from the backdam and threw the gun away in some bushes before driving home to clean his car.

At his Mahaica residence Thomas reportedly cleaned the interior of his vehicle using hand sanitizer. He later threw the victim’s cellphone and a spent shell over a bridge at Unity, East Coast Demerara.
Investigators are currently conducting a search of the area, to corroborate the details of his confession.
Gomez was found dead six days after she went missing.
