Kaieteur Sports – The cyclists of the Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycle Club (KARCC) have showcased outstanding performances in the recently concluded National Championship, by demonstrating determination and relentless skills in all four segments in competition.
Abigale Jeffrey was outstanding in the Women’s National Road Race Championship and the time trial event. She claimed a remarkable third-place position in both events, she proved herself as a standout athlete. Another teammate, Tandecia Noel, also displayed great strength and secured a commendable fourth place in the female’s time trial.
While in the Juvenile’s category, young cyclist Ajani Cutting exhibited extraordinary strength and skill, finishing an impressive second in both the National Road Race Championship and the time trial. This remarkable performance speaks to his dedication and passion for cycling. Accompanying Cutting was Sebastian Nathan, who showcased his talent by securing third place in both the juvenile’s race and the time trial which highlights the emerging talent within the club.
Arjune Sookai continued the club’s success with another outstanding performance in the time trial championship, earning a well-deserved third place. Sookai’s dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence paid off, showcasing his commitment to his craft. Additionally, Kevin Seaton, an upcoming star, showed his mettle among top-tier competitors, albeit placing sixth in the same event.
While Quincy ‘Kwame’ Ridley dominated the master’s time-trial event, followed by Alexis Mendes achieved a remarkable second place for the KARCC, Ridley’s perseverance and tenacity contributed to his success with a third-place finish in road race event. Ridley once again showcased his prowess in the elite segment, securing another impressive third place.
His consistent performance and exceptional talent have established him as a formidable force in the sport. Another promising cyclist, Romello Crawford, claimed a commendable fifth place, displaying determination and the ability to compete at the highest level. Arjune Sookai added to the club’s achievements with a respectable seventh place, highlighting his resilience and commitment to the sport. Additionally, Ridley’s improvement was evident as he claimed first place in the national masters time trial.
The accomplishments of the KARCC cyclists exemplify their tireless dedication, remarkable skills, and unyielding spirit. Their triumphs serve as an inspiration to fellow athletes and demonstrate the club’s commitment to fostering excellence in the world of cycling.
