The All Saints Anglican Church in New Amsterdam, Berbice which is one of the pillars of Anglicanism in Guyana is presently celebrating its 180th Anniversary. The church, which was consecrated on June 30th, 1839 is marking the occasion with a series of activities which included a Celebratory Mass at the Church attended by His Excellency, President David Granger and Bishop Charles Davidson.The Church also donated a number of Monkey Bars and Swings to the New Amsterdam Town Council to be placed at the Esplanade Recreational Park. The Esplanade Recreational Park is used for football and cricket among other sports.
It is presently undergoing some rehabilitative work and the Monkey Bars and Swings will be used to enhance the aesthetics of the facility.
