Guyana Jaguars, led by Man-of-the-Match Raymon Reifer, a four-wicket haul from Veerasammy Permaul and an aggressive 51 from Chanderpaul Hemraj, won their sixth match for the season when they beat Barbados Pride by seven wickets just after Lunch on the third day of their ninth round Regional First-Class Championships encounter at Providence yesterday to maintain their lead with 134.2 points with a game remaining.

Reifer picked up two wickets, while Permaul took the other two to dismiss Barbados, who began the penultimate day on 228-6, for 238 in 22 minutes.
Reifer, who hit an unbeaten 52, finished with 4-22 for match figures of 9-44 to take his wicket tally to 23, while Permaul supported with 4-62 to move to 39 on the wicket takers list, only behind off-spinner Rakeem Cornwall from Leewards Hurricanes.
Set 114 to win, Jaguars reached 118-3 as 25-year-old Chanderpaul Hemraj smashed five fours and a six in his 63-ball top score of 51 which lasted 107 minutes.
Christopher Barnwell blasted an unbeaten 23 from just 12 balls with four boundaries which included a six to finish the match and along with Skipper Leon Johnson, who reached the ropes on four occasions in his undefeated 20 from 40 balls, featured in an unfinished 51-run fourth wicket stand in 23 minutes to see the Jaguars to an emphatic win at 13:22hrs.
Windies ‘A’ pacer 21-year-old Shamar Springer picked all the wickets to fall to end with 3-29.
When play began, Tevyn Walcott added five to his overnight 28 before he was LBW to Permaul who also had Chemar Holder; caught and bowled for a duck with the score on 234-8.
Bajan Reifer, Barbados’ tormentor in-chief, induced Jomal Warrican (4) to edge to wicket-Keeper Anthony Bramble for his 38th dismissal of the season before knocking out the stumps of Miguel Cummins for a duck as the last two wickets fell at 238.
The Jaguars lost the left-handed Tagenarine Chanderpaul, who executed a glorious cover driven boundary off Chaim Holder before he edged a delivery which left him from Springer to the keeper after making eight from 33 balls and 45 minutes batting with the score on 35-1.
Hemraj, one of six left-handers in the Guyana side, was bowled off the inside edge before he had scored by a no-ball from Cummins and then flicked the pacer to third man for four.

MOM Raymond Reifer took nine wickets and made an unbeaten fifty to lead Jaguars to their 6th victory yesterday.
Johnson, short of runs, came out with refreshing positivity and swivelled and pulled Springer to mid-wicket boundary, while 25-year-old Hemraj went after the bowlers with his usual aggressive intent and soon reached his sixth First-Class fifty before he hit Springer to mid-off.
Barnwell, the DCC right-hander, launched into Springer and clipped him forward of square and the ball raced across the lightening fast outfield like a bullet.
Barnwell, GCA’s most dominant and destructive batsman, finished the game by lofting Jonathon Carter down the ground for four, steering the medium pacer to the third man boundary and depositing him for six.
Guyana’s final game is a day/night contest against T&T’ Red Force starting at 14:00hrs at Providence from Thursday.
Scores: BARBADOS PRIDE 76 (Chaim Holder 22; Raymon Reifer 5-20) and 238 (Shayne Moseley 64, Jonathan Carter 47, Shamarh Brooks 44, Tevyn Walcott 33; Raymon Reifer 2-22, Veerasammy Permaul 4-62).
GUYANA JAGUARS 201 (Raymon Reifer 52, Vishaul Singh 33; Jonathan Carter 4-52, Marquino Mindley 2-35) and 118 for three (Chandrapaul Hemraj 51, Chris Barnwell 23 not out; Shamar Springer 3-29).
