(Kaieteur News) – Twelve contractors have submitted bids below the engineer’s estimate of $55.03 million for the rehabilitation of the Nurses’ Hostel in Bartica, Region Seven.
The Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region Seven invited tenders for the project, and during the recent opening of bids at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), it was revealed that 13 contractors submitted proposals.
Of the 13 bids received, 12 ranged between $45.6 million and $54.2 million, all falling below the engineer’s estimate of $55,030,408. NPTAB disclosed that the remaining bidder failed to complete the Form of Tender page, and as a result, no bid price was announced.
Kaieteur News understands that the project will involve the full rehabilitation of the Bartica Nurses’ Hostel to improve its condition and ensure it can adequately accommodate healthcare workers.
