The Senior Citizens Bocce Tournament, which was sponsored by the National Sports Commission and organised by Mr. Wilton Spencer, concludedon April 21, 2018 at the National Gymnasium.
In the Preliminary rounds, team Buttercup won from team Hibiscus 16 points to 6 points after playing 12 frames. In the second game team Sun Flower won from Rose 16 points to 13 after completing 16 frames.
In the final game for the day, winners of the preliminary rounds, Buttercup and Sunflower played to determine the champion. Team Buttercup, captained by Mr. Norris Fullington and assisted by Eluan Vanolten, Brenda Phill and Leona Brotherson emerged champions after scoring 16 points to 9 points against their rivals Sunflower after completing 17 frames.
Mr. Spencer, Sports Organiser, presented a trophy and medals to the winning team and medals to the runner up team for their efforts.
