The Ministry of Business/National Bureau of Standards chalked up 74 games to walk away with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) dominoes title when the competition was held recently at the Ministry of Agriculture canteen.
Thirteen teams participated in the competition which saw the winning team taking home a trophy and $70,000, while the Ministry of Social Cohesion/National Culture Centre staff with 68 games took the runner up spot earning a trophy and $35,000. Transport and Harbours Department marked 64 games to finish third and received a trophy and $20,000.
All prizes were donated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also came from the entrance fees.
In the Tapeball tournament, which was played at Durban Park tarmac, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure took the first prize and Supreme Court the runner up spot.
Organiser James Lewis has expressed gratitude to the Permanent Secretaries the Chief Executive Officers, General Managers and staff members for their input.
