Chinese woman killed in BV accident

(Kaieteur News) – A Chinese national, identified as Xin Hao Zhang, was killed Monday evening after she was struck by a car while attempting to cross the Beterverwagting Public Road, East Coast Demerara.
Reports indicate that the woman had just exited the nearby Ansa McAL supermarket and was crossing the busy roadway when she was hit by the vehicle. The impact reportedly flung her onto the road, as shocked motorists and residents rushed to the scene moments after the collision.
Police arrived at the location and investigations are ongoing into the fatal accident.
