The Budhan Memorial Turf & Sports Complex will be holding a grand one-day Horse race meet on Sunday April 22 at Number 66 Village, Corentyne, Berbice and the winner of the feature event receive $200, 000 and a Trophy.
Six races are set for the day with the feature event being the J/ Class and Lower over a distance of one mile. The other events are Unclassified, K& Lower, J& Lower, L/Class non-winners) and Cow Horse.
Over two million dollars in cash, prizes and trophies will be up for grabs and over 35 Horses have registered so far, while track is in excellent condition and an exciting day of Horse Racing is expected by turfites since many Horses have been turning in impressive times during practice.
Among some of the Horses expected to be on show are Not This Time, Up Rising, Red Jet, Irish Boy, Plane Land, Release the Heat, Jungle Prince, Country Boy, Lucky Lucky, Something Special and She Royal.
A well stocked Bar and several Food Booths will be available and Bugle time is a 13:00hrs.
