Ladies hunt title
Team Guyana came up one match short against a tough Bermuda team in the Men’s Semi-finals of the 2016 Senior Caribbean Squash at the Queen’s Park Oval Squash Courts in Trinidad on Saturday, while the Ladies were still alive for Guyana’s lone title when they were set to battle Barbados in the Championship match last evening.
The Guyanese were given a great start by veteran player Richard Chin, who continues to be an important cog in the team’s line-up.
Chin pulled out a tough five-setter against an opponent nearly half his age to give Guyana a one love match lead. Nyron Joseph made it 2-love with a quick three-game win over Anthony Fellows.
However, it was at this point the depth and experience of the Bermuda line-up showed as the last three matches were all taken without conceding another game.
Guyana were looking to finish strong in the third place match up last evening against Cayman Islands, while the Guyanese ladies should go all out for a win in the Women’s final.

Richard Chin beat Noah Brown 3-2 11/6, 9/11, 11/6, 7/11, 11/8

Alex Arjoon lost Micah Franklin 0-3 11/7, 11/2, 11/9
