Tobago contested round 4 of the ‘2016 National Auto Sport Association (NASA) – Utah Region in an Audi R8 LMS ultra from CA Sport at Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) formerly known as Miller Motorsports Park on June 11 – 12, 2016 and turned in impressive displays.
The first qualifying session was done in the wet conditions but, # 14, Boodoosingh was able to lap the 2.2 Mile Utah Motorsports Campus west course in a time of 1:35.597 which was 3.575 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor in the 16 car field ahead of the first race.
The CA Sport Audi R8 LMS ultra driven by #14, Kristian Boodoosingh raced to the checkered flag a full 22.737 seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher, # 496 L. Long. What was more impressive was the dominant way #14, Boodoosingh went about it. The rest of the field was all lapped except the 2nd place finisher. It was a truly exciting race with the field being mainly Porsches. Boodoosingh had the fastest lap of the race in a quick 1:28.699 to go along with the decisive win.
On Sunday during the qualifications, # 14, Boodoosingh once again topped the field in the CA Sport Audi R8 LMS ultra. He finished ahead in a time of 1:30.823 with a narrower margin of 0.211 to claim pole position. @utahmotorsportscampus, Couldn’t ask for a better weekend, we led every session, won both poles, both races and ending off in fine style with a dominating performance winning by a margin of 53 seconds! So once again thanks to the entire team at @ca_sport, Jerry Abdul, @hb4tuning , Mom and Dad. On to the next one!” were Kristian Boodoosingh’s words to praise the entire team effort under the tutelage of Horatio Brown he posted online.
Kristian Boodoosingh’s rise to the top goes far and wide and well beyond the Caribbean Region as one of the most seasoned accomplished racers. This young man races many different makes and models of race cars and competes in many different racing series at home and abroad. His intensity and drive towards a successful career has kept getting better and better which only leaves one question, “it’s not what he drives! It’s what drives him”.
