Briso Promotions GBA card set for May 28
Promoter Seon Bristol (Briso Promotions) in collaboration with the Guyana Boxing Association will be hosting a Jubilee amateur card on May 28 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall starting at 19:30 hrs.
Bristol, a former amateur boxer, told Kaieteur Sport yesterday that they are looking to stage 15 bouts on the card. He added that two cards were scheduled but were postponed and feels it is an injustice to the fans since there is no event for the Jubilee. Bristol said this event will help to develop the young talent and prepare them for other engagements.
He stated that he met with two former boxers Lennox Blackmore and Kenny Bristol and both without hesitation promised to assist in making the card a successful one. The promoter indicated that former boxers who want to assist would be welcomed and can contact the GBA.
