Fisherman XI of East Coast Demerara continued with their preparation for Guyana Softball Cup 2015 with an emphatic 65-run victory over Park Rangers in a 20-over game played yesterday at Everest Cricket Club.

Batting first, Fisherman XI posted 183-7 in 20 overs. Kumar Bissoondyal struck two fours and three sixes in a top score of 37, while Jagdesh Persaud scored 31 with three fours and two maximums. The pair resurrected the innings with a fourth wicket stand of 55 after their team lost a few early wickets. Imran Hassan chipped in with 29 (2×4, 1×6) as Richard Latif snared 3-23 from four overs and Dharam Persaud 2-26 off four.
Park Rangers never got going and were restricted for 118-9 in 20 overs. Ricky Persaud slammed 34 which contained three sixes, while Danny Mohanram made 19. David Harper and Robert Mohan picked up two each. The game was sponsored by Trophy Stall.
