Registration closes today for Olympic Day Jog/Walk, Team Run

Registration closes today at the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) Headquarters, High Street, Kingston for the International Olympic Day Annual Jog/Walk and 10km Team Run scheduled for Sunday beginning at 06:00hrs outside YMCA, Thomas Lands.
According to a release, the Jog/Walk is not a race and is open to all persons ten (10) years and older while entry is free. It further added that the 10km Team Run comprises of two (2) females and four (4) males and they must complete the course in order to obtain the points requisite for an award as a team.
Each association/club/school can enter the maximum of two (2) teams. The prizes for the Team run are as follows: 1st Prize: $60,000; 2nd Prize: $40,000 and 3rd Prize: $30,000. Participants in this event will receive a T-Shirt and an IOC Certificate.
Completed Entry Forms should be returned to ‘Olympic House’, 76 High Street, Kingston, no later than 4pm today. No entry would be accepted for the team run, following the official closing date.
