The lone lovebird was A. Sharples. Speaking with Co-ordinator O’Neil Durant, he said that the competition has become an annual one, adding that the turnout clearly demonstrated that the event is gaining more support and the move now is to get a much bigger and convenient venue to host it next year. He thanked Chief Constable Andrew Foo and Clerk of Market Simone McKend for their assistance in permitting the use of the facility to host the competition.
Durant also extended thanks to the following entities and persons for their support as well and they include: Kiskar Natural Way, the McFarlane family, Seepersaud Maraj & Sons Jewellery of Stabroek Market, Wood Phillip of Alabama Trading, Castrol and Robert Selman of Guyana Beverage Company.
