Little DIVA Flames Female Football Club to commence training tomorrow
The newly formed Little DIVA Flames Female Football Club will commence training tomorrow at the GFC Ground, Bourda commencing at 09:00 hrs.
Coaches Joseph “Bill” Wilson and Sheron “Sherry” Abrams will be taking the girls through the sessions. Coach Wilson coached the Scotiabank Female All Stars Team to victory in a specially arranged tournament involving Berbice and West Demerara last December, meanwhile Coach Abrams recently returned to Guyana after successfully participating in a “D” Licence Coaching in Aruba conducted by CONCACAF.
The Little DIVA Flames FC was formed to harness and develop the potential football skills of talented young females who are desirous of playing football at the club level locally and being able to represent Guyana Internationally. Opportunities will also be available for those with the academic qualification and football skill level for them to be offered Scholarships in the Caribbean, Central America, North America and possibly Europe.
The club management has promised to ensure that the players will have proper training in a disciplined and safe environment. Life Skills will also be addressed amongst other things as the club grows in stature.
