One of Guyana’s leading fitness apparel outlets, Planet Fitness is the latest entity to align their business with the staging of the New Era Entertainment oraganised Cell Smart LABA Super-eight basketball tournament, that’s set to commence on March 9 in Linden.

The company headed by Fahmi Waddell and Alecia Rambarran is located at 335 East Street, Georgetown and presented the represented organisers of the tournament with the balls and nets to be used during the month long event. Waddell is no stranger to the sport of basketball, a game he says he loves and played if he’s home in Guyana or overseas where he also resides, so the contribution came easy.
He added also that he sees the tournament as a way to integrate his business into the community of Linden since it’s basically a one stop sports store.
Apart from selling fitness and sports apparel and supplements, Waddell stated that Planet Fitness can also be used by all sports team to source their uniform and gear for their respective disciplines at a very affordable and highly competitive price.
Fahmi, son of the late famed Ronald Waddell, said that he was also happy that the sport of basketball is being put on the right track not only in Linden, but in Georgetown also and his business is always open to lend whatever support they can if the need arises.
New Era Entertainment thanked Waddell for his input into playing a part of the tournament which they hope will be one of the biggest basketball events to be held in the mining town.
Planet Fitness is said to be sports and health enthusiasts one stop shop where can find anything needed. Waddell noted that persons desirous or ordering their supplements from overseas can also do so through his company.
